Rebecca Bradley: ‘Do As I Say, Not As I Do’
Bradley Displays Stunning Levels, of Hypocrisy, Lack of Ethics
MADISON, Wis. — Recently uncovered court documents reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reveal legal wrangling over Rebecca Bradley’s time as a private practice attorney representing a man with whom she had had an affair in a child custody matter. Court records include allegations that Bradley had out-of-court contact with the minor child at issue in the case. The child’s guardian ad litem argued that Bradley’s involvement with the case “would ethically preclude her” from acting as counsel in the case. Justice Rebecca Bradley’s qualifications to remain on the Court were already under fire for vile, homophobic statements in articles uncovered by One Wisconsin Now.
The following are the statements of One Wisconsin Now Research Director Jenni Dye:
“Every day there seems to be a new revelation that calls into question Rebecca Bradley’s integrity, judgment and fitness to remain on the state’s highest court. Rebecca Bradley must resign.”
A selection of Rebecca Bradley’s writings on the importance family values, traditional marriage and venomous comments against LGBTQ persons, released this week by One Wisconsin Now, included:
“I intend to expose the feminist movement as largely composed of angry, militant, man-hating lesbians who abhor the traditional family.
“Feminists also cooperate with the Democrats in bashing family values.”
From: “Awaiting feminism’s demise” [Marquette Journal, Fall Semester 1992]
“Heterosexual sex is very healthy in a loving marital relationship. Homosexual sex, however, kills.”
From: “Attack on AIDS letter ‘ignorant’” [Marquette Tribune, 2/28/1992]
“And no matter how much you petition the public about using condoms, those at risk — homosexuals, drug users and promiscuous heterosexuals — are not exactly the responsible types who will heed your warning anyway, as evidenced by their irresponsible and immoral behavior in the first place.
“Why can’t we ‘just say no’ to sex? Is sex any harder to say no to than an addictive drug? Do we encourage drug use just because people are doing it?”
From: “What MU really needs is morality” [Marquette Tribune, 2/11/1992]
“Congratulations everyone. We have now elected a tree-hugging, baby-killing, pot-smoking, flag-burning, queer-loving, bull-spouting ‘60s radical socialist adulterer to the highest office in our nation. Doesn’t it make you proud to be an American? We’ve just had an election which proves the majority of voters are either totally stupid or entirely evil.
“Either you condone drug use, homosexuality, AIDS-producing sex, adultery and murder and are therefore a bad person, or you didn’t know that he supports abortion on demand and socialism, which means you are dumb. Have I offended anyone? Good — some of you really need to wake up.”
