One Wisconsin Now Congratulates AFL-CIO President-Elect Stephanie Bloomingdale

MADISON, Wis. — Stephanie Bloomingdale, longtime member and current Vice-President of the One Wisconsin Now Board of Directors, was voted President-elect of the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO today.  The following are the statements of One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross:

“Congratulations to Stephanie Bloomingdale and to the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO.

“Stephanie has been a tireless, unparalleled champion for workers and progressive causes in Wisconsin.

“We’ve been lucky to have her leadership, experience and commitment as a longtime member of the One Wisconsin Now Board of Directors and the AFL-CIO has made a great choice in selecting Stephanie Bloomingdale as President-elect.

“Stephanie is not only the first woman to lead the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO, but also she’ll be the first GenX president, too.”
