Federal Court’s Split Decision Denies Hearing on Wisconsin Voter ID Law
People of Wisconsin Will Respond by Going in Droves to Voting Booths
MADISON, Wis. — Today the Federal 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, by a 5-5 vote, decided it will not hear en banc a challenge to the Wisconsin voter ID law. A three judge panel of the 7th Circuit Court previously lifted the injunction on imposition of a photo ID requirement for voting in Wisconsin.
The following are the statements of One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross:
“The people of Wisconsin will respond as they always have when their rights are threatened by partisan politicians – they will go in droves to the voting booths.
“Gov. Walker has committed the biggest election fraud in state history by manipulating the laws for his personal political gain, but it’s going to backfire on him this time.”
