Mental Health Center scandals under Walker’s failed leadership are unending

Now there’s a new report about how the mental health building is building is crumbling, like so many other county buildings, due to Walker’s chronic mismanagement and underfunding.

People have died from neglect and starvation. Women have been raped. Mold, foul-smelling garbage, dirty food service areas and safety hazards. Yet the director, John Chianelli, remains unfired and Walker is unapologetic for defending the abhorrent treatment of women in the facility.

Peoples’ lives are at stake and Walker’s solution is to put a “team of professionals” in place to find solutions. And just what have the “professionals” who run the center been doing the past 8 years?

This effort is too little too late.
