Senate Republicans, flaunting the ridiculous rogue report put out by as-yet-to-be-identified members of the Milwaukee police bureaucracy, had hoped their press stunt Thursday calling for Voter ID would make news.
Unfortunately for them, the news made was when Senator Spencer Coggs and Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker challenged them face to face.
Coggs chimed in after Alberta Darling offered a typically condescending answer when a reporter wanted to know why if this was such a crisis in Milwaukee was no one representing the areas in question at the press event.Schultz and Kanavas stood by and Leibham, Darling and Jeff Stone sputtered the old tired arguments about Voter ID.
In the end, their attempts during session to bring the bill to a vote failed. And with that failed yet another attempt to pass a plan which would disenfranchise the poor, the elderly, people living in rural Wisconsin and university students.
Too bad. Senate Republicans Zero, Democracy One.
