Thanks to the generosity of the online supporters of One Wisconsin Now, Badger faithful, Nebraska fans and Gov. Scott Walker were treated to this banner, which flew above Camp Randall for several hours preceding Saturday’s nationally-televised game.
We’ll have video later, but here’s a picture of the banner — which turned out to be one of several which made the rounds high over Madison.
The demand for Gov. Walker’s recall has not abated one iota. We’ve put together research and information on a full dozen reasons why Gov. Walker warrants recall — which are available at our new site: www.RecallScottWalker.org.
With news that Gov. Walker’s chief of staff has abruptly left the office to return the campaign side, it’s clear team Walker is stumbling, what with the John Doe, immunity for Walker staffers and allies and the continuing failure which has resulted from his disastrous public policy agenda.
News coverage of the Walker shake-up includes our efforts to hold the governor for the harm he has caused, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which wrote, “Highlighting the possible recall efforts against the governor, the liberal group One Wisconsin Now announced it would have a plane flying over Camp Randall just before Saturday’s game between the Wisconsin Badgers and Nebraska Cornhuskers with a message urging people to recall Walker.”
The Wisconsin State Journal was blunt: “Three recent polls have the governor carrying an approval rating of between 37 and 45 percent. The worst showing for the governor was in July’s Badger Poll, where fully 59 percent of respondents disapproved of his job performance.”
As we told the State Journal, “The governor was given everything he asked for, and it is not working,” said Scot Ross of One Wisconsin Now. “He clearly knows he will face a recall and he wants to prepare for it.”
Walker may want Wisconsin to forget his divisive policies and failed leadership, but Wisconsin most assuredly, as the saying goes, can recall all of it.
