One Wisconsin Now Statements on Walker Signing Special Interest Budget

MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements about Gov. Scott Walker signing the biennial state budget during an unexpected day spent in Wisconsin.

“Scott Walker has signed the budget demanded by his presidential campaign pollsters and donors. The only goals Walker met with this budget were signing it before his presidential campaign announcement, and pleasing the corporate special interests and private school ideologues who bankroll his campaign.

“As we seek to console the women, men and children of all ages from our state who will suffer under Scott Walker’s unconscionable choices, we pledge our continued and determined opposition to the corruption, cronyism and incompetence of Scott Walker’s disastrous reign.”
