Scott Walker Should Use Badger Girls State Address to Apologize for Supporting Donald Trump

‘Tearing Infants, Children from Their Families Isn’t a Federal Issue, It’s a Human Decency Issue’

MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Now Research Director Joanna Beilman-Dulin offered the following statements in advance of Gov. Scott Walker addressing this evening’s Badger Girls State inauguration in Oshkosh.

“Gov. Scott Walker has repeatedly refused to condemn the despicable actions being inflicted upon girls and women by his party’s leader, Donald Trump.

“Tearing infants and children from their families isn’t ‘federal issue,’ it’s a human decency issue.

“For 25 years in office, Scott Walker has always done what’s best for Scott Walker. Scott Walker’s fecklessness in the face of Trump’s horrific actions is an embarrassment for everyone in Wisconsin, whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent.”
