Trump Maintains GOP Frontrunner Status in GOP Nomination Race
One Wisconsin Now Reacts: ‘They’re Getting the Nominee They Deserve’
MADISON, Wis. — Results being reported in “Super Tuesday” Republican Presidential Primary states indicate Donald Trump will maintain his status as the frontrunner for the GOP nomination.
The overt racism Trump and his campaign have exploited in his rise to the top of the Republican Party reached its zenith thus far this week with his refusal to disavow the support he has received from the former Grand Wizard of the hate group the Ku Klux Klan.
The following are the comments of One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross:
“The Republican Party and the conservative ‘movement’ have been exploiting racism and bashing the poor to further their own political power for the last half century. Today they are reaping what they have sown.
The Trump tears and eleventh hour denunciations of Speaker Paul Ryan, Gov. Scott Walker and right wing noise machine personalities are laughable. With Donald Trump, they’re getting the GOP presidential nominee they deserve.”
