One Wisconsin Now Statements on Republican Partisan Election Map Scheme

MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements regarding the Republican closed-door redistricting scheme, which has produced partisan election maps drastically altering existing legislative districts across Wisconsin.

“The Republicans have used their complete control of state government to unveil from behind closed doors the most partisan redistricting scheme in the state’s history. They can’t win a public fight on the issues, so the Republicans are trying to rig elections behind closed doors. There is no balance in their approach; it is 100 percent raw, partisan politics. Again and again, the Republicans have put their own political interests ahead of job creation and the priorities of the Wisconsin people.”
