Conservation Lobby Day for 2008 is tomorrow (Wednesday, January 30th) and the areas of focus will be:

1.  Keep the Great Lakes Waters in the Great Lakes, by passing the Strong Great Lakes Compact which will prevent water diversions to other thirsty states and countries.

2.  Restore Conservation Integrity by passing the 3 components of the Hunter, Angler, Trapper Bill of Rights, including an Independent DNR Secretary and protection of the stamp fund accounts.

3.  Stop Global Warming by passing the Wisconsin Safe Climate Act which will adopt an enforceable, science-based plan to reduce Wisconsin’s share of global warming emissions.
