Hannity calls TEA Party ‘Tim McVeigh wannabes’, they applaud
Last week the anti-government group Guardians of the Free Republics made a name for themselves by sending letters to governors across the U.S. demanding they leave office. The FBI fears the letters could provoke violence. Also last week, FOX News celebrity Sean Hannity called the anti-government TEA Party “Tim McVeigh wannabes” to their applause. All this is domestic terrorism stuff is actually pretty frightening. From the AP:
The FBI is warning police across the country that an anti-government group’s call to remove governors from office could provoke violence.
Investigators do not see threats of violence in the group’s message, but fear the broad call for removal of top state officials could lead others to act out violently. At least two states beefed up security in response.
A spokeswoman said Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle was among the governors who received the letters.
