Is Walker afraid that public jobs summits would get “Occupied?”
After charging the "public" $50 to hear what he has to say about job creation in Green Bay...Walker will "visit" with the corporate elite at another "job creation" forum, this time hosted by pro-corporate shills U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Wisconsin Manu
After charging the “public” $50 to hear what he has to say about job creation in Green Bay, holding small invitation-only events in La Crosse and Milwaukee, and hosting a “job creation forum” at the University of Wisconsin Research Park MGE Innovation Center (which apparently is so private it’s not even listed on the UW Research Park’s website events page, by the way), Walker will “visit” with the corporate elite at another “job creation” forum, this time hosted by pro-corporate shills U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.
Apparently to hear Walker’s views on how to create jobs you either need to cough up a fee, get an exclusive “invitation” or be a member of a pro-corporate group. Or as PolitiFact noted you could call his free “jobs” hotline, though I doubt that rings through to Walker’s desk. For that you need to be a Koch brother.
Even worse about the Chamber & WMC’s “job creation” panel discussion, they will be presenting data “about how to improve Wisconsin’s economy and Walker and business executives are expected to react to the findings.”
I’ll take bets on how much of what they propose here ends up as legislation in Walker’s upcoming special session. Winner gets a free bumper sticker.
