One Wisconsin Now to Paul Ryan: Stick to Renaming Post Offices, Leave Our Health Care Alone
MADISON, Wis. — With U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan’s scheme to cut 24 million from their health care teetering on the brink of collapse, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross offered the following statements.
“More than 24 million Americans will keep their health care if Paul Ryan sticks to doing legislatively what he’s done best in the U.S. House of Representatives over nearly 20 years: renaming a post office.”
According to a 2016 article in the New York Times, University of Wisconsin-Madison Political Science Department Chair David Canon said only three bills Paul Ryan has authored since being elected in 1998 have been signed into law.
