Polls, not principles, guiding Wisconsin Right to Life endorsement

Pro-embryo group Wisconsin Right to Life announced today its endorsement of Republican Ron Johnson, not Republican Dave Westlake. We questioned earlier this week — before the announcement — if doing so would be playing politics. After all, Westlake is 100{3dc3145a56b1a82abd649af7a7ec83655f1117606e793d7c8d247dfe86b544ed} pro-“life”; Johnson is not.

Asked about the endorsement of Johnson, WRTL PAC director Susan Armacost said “(Electability) tipped the scales for Ron Johnson… It’s the electability of the candidate at this point… I think the polls are very clear”
