Statements Regarding Today’s Day Without Women Action

MADISON, Wis. — The following are the statements of Analiese Eicher & Jenni Dye regarding today’s Day Without Women action:

“While not every woman is able to step back from her work today, the idea behind the Day Without Women is to emphasize the work that women do every day that too often goes unnoticed and undervalued. Today is a call to action for every American to join together to break down barriers facing women in our society.

“Women play a powerful role in every area of our lives, from work to school to home, and art to technology. It is time for politicians to stop imposing their beliefs on women and instead have faith in our abilities and our aspirations.”

Please note these statements were drafted in advance, as Eicher and Dye are out of the office today. They are however working to advance the role of women in Wisconsin and the world, today and every day.
