The GOP’s Chief Judicial Racist
Here’s a link to the story about rank(ing) Judiciary Committee Member Sen. Jeff Session (R-Asshole, er…Alabama) that lays out his long career of racism. In fact, he was such a known racist that he was rejected by the U.S. Senate for a judgeship that Ronald Reagan nominted him for.

Just a couple of the hits directly from the Session’s sessions’ story, which:
— Sessions was heard by several colleagues commenting that he “used to think they [the Klan] were OK” until he found out some of them were “pot smokers.”
— Sessions, he said, had called him “boy” and, after overhearing him chastise a secretary, warned him to “be careful what you say to white folks.”
— Sessions had called a white civil rights lawyer a “disgrace to his race” for litigating voting rights cases.
In all Supreme Court confirmation hearings, there are bottom-dwellers who rise up to remind us why people loathe politics with the intensity of 1,000 suns. You may remember when America’s worst Democrat, Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, attacked Anita Hill with sneering misogynist hatred.
But if nothing else, watching Sessions fumble about in attacking nominee Sonia Sotomayor,
lets us know what would be the result if David Duke mated with a Keebler elf.
