Walker Holds Presser While America Endures 2015’s 355th Mass Shooting

MADISON, Wis. – One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements on Gov. Scott Walker’s Wednesday press conference.

“Scott Walker, who has done more to put guns on the streets than any elected official in Wisconsin history, just held a press conference about public safety while the 355th mass shooting this year in America was still ongoing.

“Walker encouraged the public to say something if they see something, so we are speaking up. We see countless victims of gun violence who need less of Scott Walker’s ‘thoughts and prayers’ after a tragedy and more of sensible gun safety policies which will reduce violence.“

“This press conference was Scott Walker at his political worst: exploiting fears to try and win elections, while ignoring a real public safety threat.”
