Where Was Rep. Pridemore for Final Vote on Open Pit Mining Bill?
Every Other Member of the State Assembly Cast Their Vote Yesterday, Why Didn't Don Pridemore?
MADISON, Wis. — One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements regarding Rep. Don Pridemore’s failure to cast a vote on final passage of controversial open pit mining legislation in the State Assembly yesterday:
“When the time came for the votes to be counted on the controversial open pit- mining bill, Rep. Don Pridemore was nowhere to be found, having left the proceedings just minutes earlier.
“Whether it was his attempt to avoid taking a vote on unpopular legislation written by and for an out-of-state mining company or that he was too busy running for higher office to be troubled with doing his job as a State Representative, his failure to vote demands an explanation.
