One Wisconsin Now Launches Website: ‘Stuff Simac Says’

Site Tracks Outrageous Claims, Extremism from Tea Party Fanatic

MADISON, Wis. — The controversial, extremist and out of touch statements made by Tea Party fanatic Kim Simac are now catalogued and being added to daily at One Wisconsin Now’s website:

“Kim Simac can’t hide from her extremist past, no matter how much her paid political operatives try to rewrite her history,” said Ross. “Kim Simac spoke everywhere while touring for the tea party but now she won’t even talk to public radio.”

One Wisconsin Now’s will be regularly updated with new alarming and contradictory comments from Simac. As anti-tax crusader who didn’t pay state income taxes numerous times throughout the last decade, Simac participated in the so-called tea party movement before abruptly using the movement as a stepping stone to partisan political aspirations. Among some of the recent additions to are:

  • I think of how the German people such intelligent wonderful people were led so astray and to slaughter I am beginning to see it clearly now. [11/20/09]
  • This fall we are going to become more involved in our school district and work to develop a program that would allow creationism to be offered at our high school as an elective. [8/09]
  • Off with their heads. [12/22/09]
  • The idea that a subject like man-made climate change is a done deal just doesn’t make sense to me. [1/30/10]

“When you consider that Kim Simac said Medicare for our seniors was a ‘corrupt and losing venture’ it’s not that surprising to see some of these other outrageous statements,” said Ross. “Wisconsin needs people who will fight for education, health care and jobs — not extremists who want headlines.”
