One Wisconsin Now to Hold 2nd Annual Progressive Issues Survey at Fighting Bob Fest
Participants Can Also Vote Electronically at www.Project09.org
MILWAUKEE — Fighting Bob Fest participants can cast their vote for the most important issues facing Wisconsin, as One Wisconsin Now will hold its 2nd Annual Progressive Issues Survey, Project ‘09, at the Baraboo event this Saturday.
“Progressives are energized as never before,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director. “Project ‘09 is a way to let our leaders know what we expect them to do to make Wisconsin an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Last year’s attendees ranked health care reform as the top issue, according to results complied by One Wisconsin Now. Participants, who were asked to identify their most important issues, put health care at the top followed by Iraq, education, environment and civil rights and civil liberties.
“Eight years of George W. Bush in Washington, DC has left us in debt, out of work, less safe and without adequate health care,” said Ross. “With all the harm they have caused working families in Wisconsin, conservatives will literally need to invent new issues to mismanage at this point.”
For those who wish to participate but are unable to travel to Fighting Bob Fest this weekend, One Wisconsin Now has created a Project ‘o9 website, which allows participants to enter up to three ranked issues they would like to see tackled in the next year.
The site is available at www.Project09.org. Results compiled at Fighting Bob Fest will be revealed after the event.
