Less than 24 hours after leaders called out WMC for attacking pay equity supporters as radical and anti-business, it appears WMC has scrubbed their website and taken down their graphic insulting supporters of equal pay.
It’s offensive that WMC is trying to raise money off the suggestion that equal pay is a radical idea and it’s disappointing to think that Wisconsin businesses would contribute to such campaign.
Lawmakers, along with representatives of the liberal group One Wisconsin Now and the women’s rights organization 9to5, called on the state chamber to remove an offensive, anti-equal pay image from its website. [Associated Press]

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke talks a lot about taking responsibility, but as is often the case with Tea Party darling Clarke, his talk is not backed up by action.
Clarke provided One Wisconsin Now with an almost entirely redacted calendar, where 18 of 22 entries were obscured and no conclusion can be made that Clarke was actually in the state during that time period.
Gov. Scott Walker on Denying Women Equal Access to Contraception: If at First You Don’t Succeed Try, Try Again
This week the Walker administration announced it is halting enforcement of Wisconsin’s equity law, using the Hobby Lobby decision as justification, despite being quoted as saying, “It really hasn’t been an issue for us.”
Instead of trying to help, Gov. Walker and the legislature have taken Wisconsin backwards and put us alongside Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi and Utah as the only five states lacking equal pay protections in state law.
Progress Now affiliates One Wisconsin Now and Pennsylvania’s Keystone Progress are wagering a selection of their state’s craft brews that their Governor will prevail as the worst of the worst.

Scott Walker. One Wisconsin Now socially exposed Hookstead’s tribulations. [Badger Herald]
No wonder people like David Hookstead gravitate to Gov. Walker. Governor Walker’s agenda is irresistibly attractive to their racism, sexism and homophobia.

If Republicans were honest, they would admit this all has nothing to do with what's best for women. It has everything to do with controlling women.

One Wisconsin Now Executive Director […]
Today, choice is a popular buzzword in the debate over women’s health. Women argue they should be able to choose independently about health… Do I want to have children? Where do I want to give birth? Do I want to use oral contraceptives? Gender equality will only be a reality if women can freely choose […]
It's simple: U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson thinks VAWA is unconstitutional and voted against it. [Rachel Maddow]
The question is not whether Republicans will continue their assault on voting, reproductive and workplace rights in Wisconsin, but will there be enough legislators with the courage to stand with the people of Wisconsin.
From skyrocketing student loan debt, to the gender wage-gap, the incentive for the under 30-years-old, or so-called Millennials to vote is there.

In a radio interview today, State Senate candidate Rick Gudex lied, again, about his support for a radical state constitutional amendment that would ban all abortions including for victims of rape and when the mother’s life is endangered.
Gudex denied that he endorsed, or even read in its entirety, a radical state constitutional amendment that he endorsed in a candidate questionnaire earlier this year.
State Senate candidate Rick Gudex has re-written a key section of the “policy” page on his campaign’s website, raising questions about what he’s trying to hide from the public.

In a Wednesday press release Scott Ross, executive director of One Wisconsin Now, says such tactics would amount to “voter suppression” and calls on law enforcement officials to investigate. “The timing of the calls certainly raises the questions: were these calls meant to keep certain voters from going to the polls?” he says. [Capital Times]
